The International Living Donor Liver Transplantation (iLDLT) Group Colloquium in Seoul was successfully held as a full face-to-face colloquium from November 20 to 21, 2022 at JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul.
Even though the previous colloquiums were held in countries where the field of living donor liver transplantation is not yet established, Korea was selected as the fourth host country to elevate and spread the education and knowledge of living donor liver transplantation. In this regard, we believe that the high-quality and well-structured scientific programs including the Pediatric LDLT Live Demonstration provided a great opportunity to all participants to learn the latest techniques in LDLT and share valuable academic researches and cases.
We were pleased to welcome 206 participants from 21 countries at the colloquium including 49 invited guests from 12 countries. iLDLT Group 2022 Colloquium hosted a total of 54 lectures and 52 posters including 23 poster presentations and 29 poster exhibitions. A total of 7 presenters representing the iLDLT Group Vanguard Multi-center Study Project shared their outstanding research results with participants. In addition to the scientific program and live demonstration from Renji Hospital during the Colloquium, 62 participants from 16 countries have joined the Post Colloquium program, 'Catch Korean LDLT', held at 4 major hospitals in Korea. The program provided the participants with on-the-scene experience of LDLT techniques and patient care.
Despite the continuous unstable situation, we gathered together for the development of LDLT and strengthened the bond among iLDLT Group members including world-renowned experts. We were delighted that so many participants could join us to share this wonderful moment of celebration. We look forward to meeting all of you again at the 6th International Congress of Living Donor Liver Transplantation Group in 2023.
